I have a question, when you all speak of your "liquid diet" is that the two-week pre-op diet? Is it completely liquids only? I'm asking because the pre-op diet my doctor gave me is obviously mostly Protein shakes, but we are allowed to eat oatmeal, chicken, egg whites, vegetables. It is not all liquid.

Yes that is what everyone means. But not everyone is on just liquids. My doctor just requires me to have low carb.

Depends. At my previous attempt at VSG it was all liquids, between shakes and broth.

This attempt it is still mostly shakes, but plan allows for sugar free Jello, pudding, cream of what/oatmeal, light yogurt, and raw veggies.

As I've said before, you could create a book as deep as the Grand Canyon for how may different varieties of the pre-op diet there are.

There is such a wide range of pre-op diets. Mine is 5 days of full liquids only.

Mine is only for the two days before my surgery .. Clear liquids only . Are we all excited !!!!????
