Breast Reduction / Lift and Arm Lift before or after Body Lift

Recommended Posts

I'm less than 3 months out from PS and plan on having Breast Reduction/Lift, Arm Lift and a Body Lift. Plan at the moment is Body Lift first then the others in a second procedure.

Now I'm starting to think should I do it the other way around with the Body Lift last because the Arms will be the only part on show so I should give them the most time to heal in regards to scars. My question is will the Body Lift surgery pull my breast down ? I've had saggy boobs for to Long the last thing I want is to have them fixed and looking great, then wake up after the Body lift to find them too Low again. ( I'm not getting any implants ). I have an appointment with the PS at the end of the month and will talk to him but I would be interested in what you think or have experienced.

I would seriously consider the breasts/arms first because they are much easier recoveries. I am afraid if you do the body lift first, you won't want to go back for the others because of how tough the recovery is!

Thanks, the plan is for the 1st surgery the 1st week of August then 3 weeks latter the 2nd surgery. I'm going to Bangkok so getting it all done while I'm there. I keep going back and forward with my decision as to which I'll do 1st. The Doctor will discuss it with me in 2 weeks time. So I'm trying to get as much information as possible before then.

We also agreed that if I have any setbacks in the 3 weeks then the 2nd surgery will be reschedule the 2nd. I would be devastated if I had to wait and go back for the body lift. I'll let you know what we decide

i definitely think that if you are only allowing 3 weeks in between, you should do the breasts/arms first! No way would I have been able to undergo another surgery just 3 weeks after my extended Tummy Tuck.< /p>

@@ausmith Don't mean to scare you. It's just that a LBL or extended TT are MAJOR procedures that take MONTHS to fully recover from. You don't want to put your body through more than it can handle. I'm not saying you shouldn't do the procedures only 3 weeks apart, if your medical professional is saying it will be okay. I am just saying that of the two, the LBL is the much more significant procedure, so you will need to allow yourself more recovery from it.

Thank you everyone for your well wishes! I totally forgot I wrote an update here... I'm one week post op today. I gained 15 lbs in water weight overnight because they had to give me tons of fluids to bring my BP up after surgery! I stayed one night in the hospital. Everything has been fine except I seem to have picked up a bug while I was there and I've been running a low grade fever, coughing, and a sore throat. So I've been hydrating well and sleeping a ton. So far the Covid tests are negative.
I haven't been able to advance my diet past purees. Everything I eat other than tofu makes me choke and feels like trying to swallow rocks. They warned me it would get worse before it gets better, so lets hope this is all normal. I have my follow up on Monday so we'll see. Living on shakes and soup again is not fun. I had enough of them the first time!! LOL

Still purging all of the larger clothing. This morning, a shirt that I ADORED wearing ended up on top. Hard to let it go, but it was also hard to let go of those habits that also no longer serve my highest good. Onward and upward!

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!
