Some people suggested I get my body used to more liquid during my preopp diet (it's not a Fluid. Mostly reg food but 800 cal). Because now I only drink about 30 oz a day.

Now. I have to confess. I've never had a diet really succeed. I've never seen the numbers go down. So I was excited since a lot of people say they lost on this liver diet.

But if I work to double my fluid won't the Water weight keep me from losing :(

No, as long as you stay within your calorie range you'll still lose. Your kidneys will get rid of the extra fluids.

no, it works quite the opposite actually. your body will hold on to Water like mad if it is not getting enough, but when you drink enough it lets it go. during preop and before you are likely getting a good amount of fluids from food sources, but after the surgery you simply eat very little food.

give it a try, you might give your weight loss a boost!

Water is important, your liver stores crap it can not eliminate in your fat. As you loose weight rapidly on the liver shrinking diet and then post op.all those toxins will be re released into your blood for your liver to re process. You need to drink lots to help your body flush them out. Also post op drinking is a %%#\+ ( i am 6 weeks out..i drink maybe 6 glasses a day yet I am always sipping)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
