I'm at 3 months post-op today and unfortunately my appetite came back in the last few weeks, mainly wanting

sweet things which I indulge with icecicles 15 calories, but luckily I keep losing weight. Today,

my weigh in day, I was POSITIVE(once again,, like the last three weeks)that I had either stayed the same or

gained but once again I was the same old TWO pounds down - it's been like clockwork.

So it's psychological, because I'm up to a "whopping" 1500 calories occasionally, but still

more often around 1300, and so I think "Oh God, now I'll gain weight...!!" Not stopping to realize that

for a large man who walks regularly, eating anything less than 2000 calories a day probably means

some weight loss or at the very least maintenance.... Definitely am dealing with some vestigial body dismorphia

here ..... oh well

I'm right there with ya. I have only lost 2 lbs. this last month. My surgeon wasn't concerned because he thinks I'm not getting enough calories for my activity level. I didn't think I'd not lose weight when I'm eating less than 1000 calories a day and exercising most days. I did just start working out with weights which might be why as well. I find myself wanting carbs more than meats. My nutritionist said that as long as I get my Protein in carbs are okay. I guess we just have to play around with our diets and exercise to see what works best for us. As long as your eating healthy carbs and not sugary or high fat ones. Your gonna do great! My surgeon said everyone stalls and then it starts going again. :)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
