Ouch! In all I just have to pay 125 plus copays for the doctors appointments. But anything beats paying 36-40k

Oh and lucky us....we get to pay TWO surgeon copays of $200 each. Sheesh.

Be happy. My deductible is 4k

I wouldn't mind the copays and crazy coinsurance amounts as much if we had a higher income lol. This is getting super expensive for us!

First get off the caffeine and carbonated beverages at the get-go.

Just sharing my experience... I gave up soda and caffeine once really just to see if I could. After 6 months I had not lost any weight, did not have any kind of withdrawals and did not feel any better at all. Didn't have more (or less) energy, didn't sleep any better (or worse).

Isn't that odd??

@@SpeakerSpeaking I was a 1 or 2 52 ounce diet coke, coke zero or diet mountain dew before surgery. I tried going cold turkey and within a day I was having terrible head aches, ones that Tylenol or ibuprofen wouldn't touch. I felt defeated. I was still drinking at least a 2 liter bottle of my diet sodas a day, even on my pre op diet. I had a diet coke, the night before my surgery, one final farewell. I had my surgery, I never had a head ache or any other withdrawal symptoms. I have not had a diet soft drink since... I do enjoy some unsweetened tea and I do have an occasional cup of coffee, but never have I gone to the extreme I was before surgery.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
