I was sleeved 4/12 and I'm returning to work tomorrow 4/18. I'm going stir crazy at home. Hopefully all goes well.

Wow! 6 days later you're ready to go back to work? That's so awesome! It sounds like you recovered very quickly!

I'm 3-wks po and took 2wks off work. I returned to work last week. Physically, while a little low energy, I could handle the work (kept my hours to minimum 40 hrs rather than my usual 55+ hrs). However, I struggled with getting my food, Protein, Water, sleep, exercise all figured out around work demands. I wish I had taken more time off only for the purpose of getting a better handle on these things.

Good luck.

One week- was sleeves on 3/28- back in work on 4/4. I can't just sit home- but I have a desk job. Only thing that was rough was the train in nyc in the mornings but only for the first couple days. I saved my time off for an actual vacation.

I returned to work after two weeks to a desk job. It was tough at first as I tired easily but that just meant that I worked for 8 hours then went home instead of working the usual 10-12. First two weeks back at work were tough. Probably not really "myself" for about 8 weeks at which point I was really cooking with gas again.

As soon as you get back on solid food things really improve.

My surgery was April 6 and my original date to return is May 9 but when I went to see my surgeon last Friday he said OK ur ready on April 25 and I was like no I can't even drink my fluids still or do the Protein shakes so he moved it up to may 2 and he will go from there on my next appt he also gave me an Rx to get IV fluids because I am dehydrated and I have don't that but my Fluid intake is probably 2 16oz Water bottles per day if that.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
