I'm on my 6 month pre op jump through insurance hoops at the moment they tell me my surgery will be in Sept 2016. I would like to find someone near by that also needs a little company on walks. I'm in the city.

Where in OK? I'm in OKC and going to Dr Hamilton Le at Baptist Integris. I just started the process and will meet with doc on April 18.

I was going to go to him but didn't like how they are stalling so I chose Dr Keith, he's in Norman. I live in Edmond so it's a little drive for me but they are not giving me the runaround.

So far I have had no real stall. They are busy and BCBS Fed lists them as a center of excellence. Cheaper out of pocket for me. I meet for consult the 18th. Can't wait!

Dr keith, is also an excellent dr. He's the Dr that Dr. Let sends revisions to. So We have the best docs available in ok. I don't know what the issue was in dr. Le office but I'm OK where I'm at now.

Monday should be interesting. I am hoping that I don't have to do the 3 month supervised diet crap. I have sort of been doing it with my endocrinologist. Low carb high Protein.

How did your experience go? Was Dr. Le great? Did you end up doing the supervised diet stuff?

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
