Give me you favorite Protein Shake/Drink/Pre-op Liq

Recommended Posts

I haven't had surgery yet, but I make Protein shakes sometimes as a Meal Replacement. I start with some powder Protein, usually whey protein and vanilla flavored. I then add about two tablespoons of Fage nonfat plain greek yogurt, one cut up banana, a little skim milk, a couple almonds, and just a little vanilla extract for flavor. Refrigerate for a couple hours and your good to go. Now most people don't like crunchy shakes so you skip the almonds but I don't mind.

unjury or Bariatric Advantage was what my Dr recommended for pre-op. I love the chocolate premiere Protein. Be Careful not to stock up on what is your favorite now because after surgery your taste changes. The Premier Protein is still my favorite but I can't stomach Unjury anymore.

Syntrax Nectar - Fuzzy Navel flavour...

Very hard to get here in Australia..

Apparently they're no longer importing it any of the Syntrax stuff here......

So if any of you who are State-side want to become my supplier...

Just sayin'...

Quest products are my favorite. The numbers are correct for my program and I love the taste of the shake powders, Protein bars, and chips.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
