  1. Well I can't believe I've made it this far. It was tough for the first 6 weeks and now I can't imagine my life any different than what it is. I went from a size 24 to a size 12 within 8 months. No sagging skin and no regrets. I eat good and live a healthier lifestyle. Good luck to everyone just starting out! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  3. 1. No. I do not enjoy food at all. It's a chore to eat. I'm rarely hungry but food is just not enjoyable. 2. I eat very little. 7 weeks post-op and I can barely eat 3ounces for the entire day 3. Yes. Big mistake for me. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  5. We have similar stats. My HW was 342. I am 6 ft tall and wore a size 22. I am exactly 1 month post-op and I weigh 296. I'm in a size 18 but still struggling with my Fluid and Protein goals. Congrats on your weight loss. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  6. The physical is the easiest obstacle. Just get as much support as you can and ask as many questions as possible. Your life is going to change and you can never be too prepared. Good Luck! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  7. It's really tough. I didn't realize my connection to food until now. I see the results but I don't feel healthy because I really can't tolerate much. This is a pretty good forum for support but I had to reach out to my medical team. I am still struggling with the regret 5 weeks post op. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  8. Thanks. They just said to start back with liquids. If only that were an easy solution. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  9. I hate to be a "negative nancy" but I am so ready for this ill feeling to be over. I researched and researched this surgery but never knew I would feel this sick. 4 weeks post op and I am still struggling with liquids. Protein? Ha that's a joke. I we a teaspoon of tuna and ended up in pain with vomiting. Down 40 pounds but so not worth it. I use to swim and enjoy life and now I'm too embarrassed to be around anyone. I'm physically able to go to work but I don't feel I would be as productive. I'm dizzy all the time, exhausted and thirsty. My poor husband must be tired of all the suppositories and enemas. Hopefully tomorrow will be better. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  12. My friend lost her mother after a Bypass due to a blood clot. I was afraid I would not wake up but I made my plans privately with my husband. I didn't say Good Byes because I wasn't ready to go. I felt God had a different plan for me. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  13. I use the patch. So far so good. Still take calcium melts from BariMelts and B12 from Wonderlabs but the patch works better for me Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  16. Thank you everyone. As I write this reply I am tearful because of such support and best wishes amongst strangers. This forum shows no race, age or economic bias that I have seen. What a wonderful forum and great group of people. Thank you! AV Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  17. Ok. So this is very personal and I really am very upset and disappointed in my surgeon. I have tried for 10 years to get pregnant with my 2nd husband who is the love of my life. I had nightmares before my surgery. The surgeon in the dream would always tell me I had five minutes to decide between weight loss surgery or pregnancy. In the dream I would always try to say pregnancy but the anesthesia kicked in before I could answer. I am now 3 weeks post op and just found out I am 5-6 weeks pregnant. I am horrified. After 2 Catscans, anesthesia and pain meds.... I am pregnant! Why wouldn't they do a blood test or urine before the surgery? They told me they did a beta blood test but the specialist says that's impossible. Heartbroken! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
