May 6, 201610 yr Or at least pretty decent? I am scheduled for surgery on Monday. I'm scared about all the usual stuff but what I really want to know is, how long did it take for you to feel pretty good after surgery?
May 6, 201610 yr For me it was 4 days post op....but I was in pretty decent shape leading up to it...active but all the CO morbs Sent from my LG-D850 using the BariatricPal App
May 6, 201610 yr I had my surgery on Monday 5/2 and today am feeling pretty "normal". No more pain and gas. Incisions are a little sore but extra strength Tylenol works for that.
May 6, 201610 yr I felt fine after two days. Was sleeved on a Wednesday back to work Monday Sent from my XT1585 using the BariatricPal App
May 6, 201610 yr The physical is the easiest obstacle. Just get as much support as you can and ask as many questions as possible. Your life is going to change and you can never be too prepared. Good Luck! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
May 6, 201610 yr My surgery was last Wednesday. Wednesday through Friday were pretty painful most all the time. Saturday and Sunday were better but still hurt a bit. Monday and Tuesday, I started to just take Tylenol and by Tuesday afternoon, I wasn't taking anything. Now at 9 days post, I only really feel it if I bend over or stand up really fast, I have to remind myself to slow down!
May 6, 201610 yr I was back to 98% at a week out. By day 4 i need no more narcotics. Tylenol for days 4/5 and nothing thereafter. Sent from my LGMS631 using the BariatricPal App
May 6, 201610 yr I'd say first off everyone is different... Off narcotics before 24hrs... Tylenol for 3 days.. Felt great!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
May 7, 201610 yr I'm currently around 36 hours post op. Feeling pretty good. Some nausea and pain that's like bad period pain but controlled with just paracetamol Sent from my C6603 using Tapatalk
May 7, 201610 yr Sleeved 5/3 and no pain meds other than Tylenol on occasion since 5/4. I'm struggling with major headaches that have slammed me at 3 am the last two nights. They literally feel like I'm being clubbed at the crown with a sledge hammer. I'm drinking 60 oz (40 Water and 20 sfGatorade) and taking my meds as prescribed. Anyone else have this happen? May 7, 201610 yr Are you having any Protein? I've been having about 40 ounces of Powerade zero and about 300 calories or protein daily and I've been feeling pretty good. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App @@areader4life It could be withdrawal from caffeine. Were you a coffee or soda drinker before surgery? I also had bad headaches the first couple of days. For me it was the Tylenol with codeine. So I stopped taking it and just took extra strength Tylenol. I wasn't in a lot of pain so that worked for me. It can also be dehydration but sounds like you're getting in your liquids. Hope this helps and you feel better. I had surgery on 5/2 and am feeling great!

I had surgery on 5/2 and am feeling great! I had weaned myself to 1 cup of coffee and 1 Diet Coke a day before surgery. I read on another post that it could be low BP or low sugar ... ? Otherwise I feel fine, so I hope it passes soon or I figure it out lol It's seriously the most physical pain I remember having since childbirth! Thanks for all the support and advice! May 7, 201610 yr I had mine done on 5/3rd and I'm still feeling horrible! But I also had a hiatal hernia repaired, and lap band removed then my vertical sleeve gastrectomy. I've been taking the liquid form Norco with Tylenol 3 every 4 hours, religiously. Still no relief. Just makes me sleepy. Still very hard to get up and move around, but I'm giving myself 1 week to get better. Lol. Anyone else have the same procedures done at the same time like myself? Would live to hear ur input.
