Thank you.... My husband is not as supportive as I wish he would be. My occupational therapist/coworker (I am a RN) referee me to this app. She says it is a life saver.

Hi Kelly, welcome to the group! I hit my heaviest in Apr 2015 at 286, so I'm right there with you. Got my sleeve in Oct and now I'm down 90 pounds. I was the same way trying every weight loss plan out there. I probably have lost and regained close to 700 pounds. I'm 3 pounds away from the lowest I've been in 20 years. Hope to get there soon.

Good luck on your journey.

Hi! I'm completely new here, but I'm getting the sleeve done on April 25th. I'm a 38 year old mother of 3 (ages 6,4 and 2). I've been told that having a 'buddy' to go through this journey with is incredibly beneficial! I think we are on the same track - would you be interested in being my 'buddy'??

I'm from Carmel, Indiana

Stay at home mom (for the time being). Just got my surgery scheduled yesterday and am a little nervous, but mostly excited! Have a meeting with the nutritionist on the 12th and will have to start a pre-op diet then. I am dreading that.

I have my nutritionist appt 4/6/16. I hope I get a date then. Are you on a carb restriction diet right now? I am on 45gm carb restriction. It's hard. I start ordering single servings of Protein shakes to see which one I will use for the liquid pre-op diet. Have you found one?

I'm not on any restrictions right now - but I did find a good Protein shake. I got it from costco and its 30g of Protein per shake. My sis-in-law had the sleeve done about 18 months ago and it's one she recommended. They are not tooooo terrible :) I think it's called pure protein, but I can double check that tomorrow - I'm already in bed with my sick 6 year old next to me.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
