March 2nd sleevers

Recommended Posts

@@stackinstones11 I hope you are feeling better! Sounds like you've had a little bit of a rough start but you're weight loss is great! Congrats!

@@newmeme Happy sergiversary! 16 pounds is awesome! My post-op was today and it went well. It was a pretty quick appointment with the PA, just checked my incisions and talked about how I'm feeling. We went over what I can start incorporating into my diet and that was about it. My first 'meal' was some fat free refried black Beans with some blended up ground beef cooked with Tomato, onion, garlic with a bit of guacamole and cheese on top. That sounds like a lot but I made a pan and baked it all together then weighed myself 4 ounces. Looking at it was funny, I didn't think that would fill me up! At least that wouldn't fill me up before. I couldn't even eat it all but it was so yummy. I also had a couple ounces of cottage cheese today.

@@JamieLogical Thank you for the encouragement! I've heard of this dreaded stall and I'm not looking forward to it. I don't think I'm going to weigh myself because I know that will get me discouraged.

Hi. I too was sleeved on March 2nd. Also had my gallbladder removed at the same time. So far so good, minus this dizziness. Is anyone else suffering from this at this point?

@@Raincries Wow! You are indeed a trooper getting two surgeries in one.

I haven't experienced the dizzies, only nausea. Have you had your two weeks follow up yet? I had mine today and found out I may have to get periodically hydrated via IV. They also gave me powdered Vitamins to put in my Water that tastes like CrystalLight and helps with nausea. Maybe your docs can run tests and get to the bottom of it. Our bodies are adjusting big time, so anything can happen. Best of luck to you, keep in touch!

No nausea for me. My GP is very impressed. No pain either. Only pain I have endured is from my gallbladder incision. I see my moral GP every week until I see my surgeon for my follow up and then my Bariatric Doctor. I'm already taking my medications by mouth, and have been on chewable Multivitamins as well as liquid ones since the day I arrived home. I have been very lucky. And for that I'm thankful. My doc did say the dizies could be because my sugars could be fluctuating. Thankful I'm not diabetic. I guess we will see how things work out. Feel better. Nausea can sure take all the energy you have out of you, and as u know we don't have much at present. Be well!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
