March 2nd sleevers

Well I did it! Had the surgery on the second. Just feeling a little sore. I guess I'm one if the lucky ones, barely any gas problems, just a little tired. Able to drink water, eat diet hello, chicken broth and sugar free Italian ice, great nursing staff!!

You have to do everything on a timer in the early days. You definitely won't WANT to eat or drink for a while. Try to get in 1 ounce of Water every 15 minutes while you are awake.

Sleeved on the first...finally had a great night sleeping. .egg drop Soup is my new favorite. Gas all mostly gone..hit more on day 3 . Gas and Fluid weight gone as of today. Came home ten pounds heavier than I went in. Survived allergic reaction to the antibiotics. Several days of benadryl. Best is yet to come.

I was sleeved on the 2nd also (band to sleeve revision). Got home yesterday and feel pretty good. I did have some gas pains but they are mostly gone. Now I just feel like I've done 20,000 crunches. I am still very bloated, I weighed myself when I got home and I was up 2 pounds, I'm going to weight myself again until a full week out, I don't want to get discouraged. I'm having trouble getting in fluids because I just don't feel like eating or drinking anything. But I'm trying to force myself to take a couple sips every 15-20 mins. Can't wait to get on full liquids next week.

Good luck to all of you on this journey!

I was sleeved on 3/2 as well. I'm still at the hospital but I am being discharged this afternoon. I had a lot of trouble with gas for the last two days but I am feeling much better now. I'm slowly sipping broth, water and jello but I start to cramp easily. Popsicles are my easiest at the moment. I'm concerned about getting enough fluids without an IV, but I'm going to just keep sipping away!!!

How are you feeling since you've been home?

Today is day 4 after surgery. Came home yesterday. Felt good to shower and sleep in my own bed. Able to tolerate protein shakes no problem. Also had diet jello herbal tea, water and sugar free ice pops. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones.

That's great sullylab5! I'm on day 4 as well and feel pretty good. I took a shower this morning and that helped me feel normal again. Ive been able to keep everything down so far- Isopure, vegetable and chicken broth, and some sips of Protein Shakes. I need to try some jello for my sweet tooth. I'm not having too much pain, most of my gas discomfort is gone. Only a few more days until I can have full liquids.

Since my surgery was pushed back a week I have to call and reschedule my post op for the 16th or 17th.

How are you feeling? Day 5 and I woke up in more pain than yesterday. I was trying to ween off of pain meds but had to take something this morning. Not sure if I'll be able to go to work tomorrow like I planned.
