Anyone having surgery in April 2016 in Tijuana Mexico?

Recommended Posts

Hi! First-time poster here. I have an appointment with the bank tomorrow. If my loan gets approved, I'm getting a VSG with Dr. Ariel Ortiz, from the Obesity Control Center. Spoke with him on the phone yesterday, seems like a great guy; his credentials are very impressive too.

I really hope I get approved. I'm terrified!

I'm going with Dr. Pasten in Tijuana on 4/15/16. He works out of Green & Health Hospital. I don't have FB yet but I plan to sign up this weekend just so that I can communicate with other sleevers. I want to document my experience from start to finish! [emoji4]

I'm having my surgery with Dr. Ariel Ortiz on March 24th. I have researched, asked questions, and researched some more and I feel very comfortable with my decision to go with Obesity Control Center. I hope your loan comes through! Such an exciting step. I would be happy to tell you all about my experience once I have the surgery!. :) Jamielogic had surgery with OCC and she was very helpful in giving me info. Us sleevers gotta stick together!

hey guys... started an April Sleevers group on Facebook. It's a secret group which means no one can find it except for members. Translation... it's a safe place. Since we're all having surgery April 2016, this group was created so we can stay in touch throughout our journey. We can compare notes, share stories and give each other tips .... or just an encouraging word.

Anyway...if you're an april sleever and would like to be added to the group, just send me your email and I'll send you an invite.

How did it go?? My surgery is 4/6. I'm getting nervous - was not nervous prior to this. Not sure why I'm nervous now! Hoping you've had a good experience :)

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
