  1. Mine is early April, with Dr. Cabrera as well. Excited!!! Sent from my SM-G900T using the BariatricPal App Great! Would you please let me know how everything went? I've read good things about Dr. Cabrera but to actually talk to someone who just went through it would be nice! Good luck & God bless!
  2. Totally understand. Even though you don't have a support person to come with you a good percentage of people who have gone through the same experience have left really great reviews of how helpful people were. I'll be pretty much alone as well since my husband will be staying with our children, but I think about how I'll be in good hands and how this is going to be better in the long run! Think happy thought! God bless!
  3. What did it for me was trying to get on the Manta ride at seaworld with my husband. The overhead thing that straps you in would not connect. What made it worse was that a kid working the ride kept trying to push it down for the sensor to lock it in. After a good awhile they decided it wasn't going to work so I had to get off. I've never been more mortified and depressed. The stares of the other people waiting in line, the ride employees and the laughs and whispers. It just hit hard. Even after that, going to the park with my husband and two kids under the ages of 3 and seeing my husband running after them like crazy because I couldn't ????.
  4. Hey all! My name is Liza, I'm 27 years old. I've been married to my wonderful husband for almost 6 years now. We have two beautiful children, our daughter is 3 & our son is 1. I have always been big (11 lb baby here ????????) and have always been uncomfortable with my weight. I decided to get sleeved because after the birth of my son I felt like I was losing complete control of my body. I kept gaining weight and started to feel little hopeless. So I decided to take my life back not only for myself but for my family too. I deserve the best of me & so do they!
  5. Hi ryannryann! How do you like the coordinators at alighterme? I booked through Mexicobariatriccenter and my main coordinator has been quite disappointing. Hi Ckcslvur! Congratulations! I hear dr. Ponce de leon is a very experienced surgeon! It's normal to feel apprehensive, I feel the same way, but if you've researched Dr. Ponce you'll know your in good hands! Are you taking a support person with you?
  6. I have this similar fear I've had one fully asleep surgery and when I was woken up I had a hard time breathing. All the machines said I was getting enough oxygen but I myself felt as though I couldn't breathe. It literally was one of the worst & scariest experiences, but I'm taking the risk of going under again because I know it'll be worth it in the end. So, you can do it!
  7. Having my gastric sleeve done by Dr. Cabrera April 23rd, 2016 in Tijuana Mexico! I'm super excited & also very nervous. Anyone else going to be there around this time???
  8. Hey! I'm scheduled April 23rd 2016! Super excited... & nervous ????
