How are you doing? I am having one of my hungry all day days. I hate these. All I think about is what I can have. Gotta get over these. Drinking my Decaf tea like crazy. 34 ounces down and working on second 32 oz. I'll be up all night! Hope you are doing well. Just checking in.

Hi I'm doing good! Lost another 7lbs as of yesterday at my doctors office. I hate those hungry all day days! Spoke to my surgeon about the hunger pains and he told me there is a pill that he can prescribe but wants to wait till I see him again in 3 months. He feels it's to soon to tell if it's reflux or head hunger.

Congrats on the loss. That'a great!!! I know my hunger is head hunger. If we are out and busy I rarely eat until we get home at night. I do drink my shake and eat at least a yogurt. But, like I said today is one of those days. I am really happy for your loss.

I usually have coffee and then an hour later I have a Protein drink for Breakfast. I'm on the the 3 small meals and 2 Snacks also. I have a hard time getting all my Protein and Water in. I take a powder Vitamin that I buy at my surgeons office. Hope that helps.

@@mom2hounds thank you! I was so afraid that I hadn't lost any weight because I'm so hard on myself. You should ask your doctor about the pill they prescribe for the hunger.

I think I will but I don't see him until Aug. Some days are a breeze and others are so hard. Maybe it is just me. I am just really happy for you. I too am very hard on myself, sometimes I worry myself till I get sick to my stomach, such a dork. I just never ever want to go back to where I was. It was totally unhealthy and I look at pictures now and am totally embarrassed at how heavy I was. But, on a better track now

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
