Biggest and best decision you guys. Hard mentally and physically for a while. Im 6 months out and finally feeling normal

Thank you for the encouragement. I had my surgery yesterday @10am. Everything is going great. I am sore around the incision sites. After my swallow study later today, I should be able to start the Clear liquids again.

Prays to you all I will keep you post I'm 5 foot 265 after three weeks of liquid diet. Lost 25 lbs. Will see how this goes I want to be 150 when I'm one yr out hoping. I work out three day a week for and hour they have me in fitness for a month it was hard at first..but I'm going it. I hate when people tell mr this is the easy way out..cause this sure hasn't been easy. And I've lost weight to only but more on. I see this as a tool not and easy way out..good lucky and please keep me posted and let me enjoy this new group thing on sharing. I've never done this so I'm excited to have others doing the same thing with in same time frame. Good luck all.. One thing I can tell you from my brother sergury. Take biotein dry mouth spray and chapstick it works great.

Ow wow, I've only lost 7 pounds since being on the liquid diet but I wasn't trying, so hopefully they don't tell me tomorrow at my last dr visit that I can't do the surgery. They never told me I had to lose weight but I figured I would on the liquid diet. I'm just so ready to do this surgery and start my new life

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
