So I saw my surgeon on Monday and she wasn't pleased with my weight loss. I am 14 weeks post op and have lost 30lbs. She stated that if I don't lose 10-15 pounds in the next 7 weeks until I see her again she thinks I won't lose anymore weight at all. Is my progress really that bad?

Sounds a bit harsh. My surgeon prefers a 2 to 4 pound loss a week. Anything more and she considers it unhealthy (I'd prefer to loose more).

So if it was my surgeon she would consider your loss heathy.

That is harsh! I have pretty much steadily lost at the rate if 2 pounds per week average (sometimes more sometimes less) and I am down 100 pounds since my surgery last June. If you are truly following the program (protein, Water, Vitamins, etc), then you will be fine.

Both my surgeon and nutritionist recommended a 1-2 pound loss per week. I started at a lower BMI though so maybe that's why. I'm at 160 as of today and both my nutritionist and surgeon said the loss would slow down once I got to a more "stable" weight so maybe that's why they set a lower loss goal for me.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
