I am having problems finding a Multi-Vitamin that doesn't make me nausea! I have tried the bariatric multi-vitamin and it makes me nausea so I switched to flint stone chewable and they make me nausea! I also cannot take my Calcium chewable without getting sick. What do you do to get your Vitamins down without wanting to throw up?

One thing that helps me is to try to take them as close to eating as possible. That way there will hopefully be something on the stomach and not just Vitamin alone. I've always had a problem taking Vitamins without eating before or after and becoming nauseous, so I just assumed the same would be true for me post-surgery.

i am going to look for a chewable or dissolvable one tonight at the store. it already takes me so long to eat that i don't know how i can possibly do this 3 times a day

Source of Life Gold comes in chewables and liquid. I took the chewables for years, even before VSG. I switched to Vitamin Code for Women capsules as soon as I was OK'd for them since the chewables tasted too sweet to me postop. Whole food based Vitamins are the only ones my mom can take without upsetting her stomach...she has IBD, reflux, and fibromyalgia. She's the one that turned me on to the whole food based vitamins instead of the chemically synthesized ones that can cause stomach upset. Not to mention they are loaded with Probiotics and digestive enzymes.

I started taking the flintstone chewables this week and they def go down better than my bariatric ones but I have to take so many to equal the 200% daily dose I need that they give me reflux.

How do the Source of Life Gold ones compare in daily values??

Wow I just signed on tonight to ask the exact same question! I'm 10 days post-op and I have extreme nausea every time I take an Opurity-Optimized Sleeve/Bypass Vitamin. It's truly awful; I actually start feeling like my temperature is rising along with the nausea. It's happened 3 times now and I can't do it anymore! If you're already having trouble, I highly recommend staying away from that one!

I'll be watching this thread, since I also need help with this! :) I have to take chewables right now, so I'm limited as to what I can have.

You put a new patch on each day. I've been using them for 5 months. I had lab work done last week and the only thing that was low as my B12. My doctor suggested taking an additional 500mg of B12 each day. Other than that, everything else looked good.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
