Thank you. I am doing well. Down 13 lbs from surgery day. Having a little trouble getting all my Water & Protein in each day. Get to start pureed/mushy foods tomorrow. Hoping I can do better with the pureed foods. Not hurting & increasing walking everyday. Feeling stronger & getting more energy every day. Looking forward to being able to work out & swimming. How are you doing?

@acherisedbear Glad to hear things are going well with you! I think the liquids are tough too--I tend to get a large smart Water (33 oz) of water & 3 Premier Protein shakes that are 11 oz each (33 oz) & I just met w/ my nutritionist & she said that the Protein Shakes count toward liquids post-op. I was thankful b/c there's no way in the world that I could drink 64 oz of water AND 33 oz of Protein shakes. I think I'm going to become a mall walker (ha!) the weather is too cold to walk outside. Good Luck w/ the puréed foods!!!!

What are you all using as Protein Shakes? ?? I like the pre-made Premier Protein chocolate shakes--I have the powder form & mix it w/ milk, but I can't drink it--too sweet & thick. I have a cream of chicken Protein Soup that's nice & savory.

I add extra milk to my premier shake, it helps alot.

You're in onederland!!!

Congrats!

Hi! I was sleeved Jan. 5th. Almost at the three week mark and have lost 24 lbs! I have had no complications, thankfully. The first week was the most difficult but every day it gets better. No vomiting or nausea but I actually have experienced dumping syndrome after drinking a glass of high Protein low fat chocolate milk. Never again! I'm still on a liquids (soups and protein shakes). It's getting boring but I'll do what I'm told and get through it. It's not forever. I've never been looking forward to eating an egg so much in my life. I'm so happy I found this forum and had this surgery. It's the best feeling in the world to have hope again. It's not easy, but it's worth it. :)

I had my surgery January 5th! I lost 23Ibs on my pre-op diet and 20Ibs on my post op and I hit a stall!!! I haven't lost weight in about a week! My biggest fear is I am already stretching my stomach even though I am following directions. Has anyone hit a stall yet?

43 pounds in 3 wks is incredible! I'm 3 weeks out (& down 30) & some days I stay the same # and others I'll go down 1-2 pounds. I'm trying to just take it one day at a time & concentrate on my routine of healthy behaviors instead of the scale, but I'd be kidding myself to think I don't have numerical goals! Keep doing what you've been doing & the scale is sure to be changing soon!

Hi Everyone! I hope all you January sleevers are doing well. It has been 30 days since my surgery and I am doing great. 28 lbs down. My blood pressure went from 140/90 to 103/72 - normal! No more BP meds for me. I am so thankful that I was able to have this surgery. I have had no complications - however, I am lactose intolerant now. No big deal, I just buy lactaid - which is milk without the lactose. Tastes just fine. I struggle with getting enough Protein but I'm experimenting with different foods to see how to work more in (for instance, I started liking avocados!) My surgeon told me my food tastes may change and I have noticed that too. Also, anything too sweet tasting - tastes really bad to me (thank god). I used to be a real sugar junkie, now I don't think about it. I do get hungry around meal times, but two tablespoons is always enough. It's funny how the brain still thinks the old way but your body says "no way! you are stuffed!". I have been walking 1 mile every day and just got the ok to do light weights (for the arms - 5-10 lbs). So, that's the latest and greatest from this January sleever. So happy! :)

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
