Anyone here sleeved in Mexico on the same day as their spouse? Just wondering, my husband and I are planning for May of this year. Wanted to know what it was like for anyone else, or do you think this is a terrible idea?

We were planning on having it done the same day (although here in the states) however, hubs surgery has been slightly pushed back. My surgeon said that the pro's are that you both will be on the same stage at the same time which will make everything easier. The con's are if you have small children to care for or a spouse that maybe needs a little more babying during recovery. I'd say , if it's just the 2 of you to worry about, get it over with at the same time!

The day I was sleeved there was another woman, her fiance, and her cousin all having surgery the same day. I stayed in touch with her a while post-op and it seemed to be going well. The really nice thing about doing it together is you won't have to worry about preparing separate meals!

My husband and I had our gastric sleeves done the same day. He went first and I went last. Along with my sister and sister in law. Had it done In Tijuana April 2015. Our one year is coming up. Best decision we made!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
