Some days, the guts are nice and quiet. Other days, they sound like a storm is rolling in. Does anyone else have a very loud upper gut post-op?

Have you found anything that helps quiet it down?

Yup, I have lots of loud rumbly days. My family awards asks if I'm hungry, I'm not, kids just noisy.

Some say acid reducers may help. Personally since there is no medical problem, I won't take anything for it.

I found that when I cut out dairy products my rumbly gut went away. I now eat greek yogurt and occasionally cheese and they bring it back, but if I stick to just Fairlife milk, I have no rumbly gut problems. Perhaps that will help you too.

My grouch pouch is always making noise. My family can here it and it does not matter what I do. Honestly I don't even think twice about it anymore.

I take Gas-X and/or Zantac and drink some Water. Sometimes it helps. Depends on the reason.

Five months post RNY and I've come to accept it. It gets loud enough sometimes that it even scares the cat if she's near me. I suspect some of the dairy (Greek yogurt) I eat may have something to do with it, but it doesn't cause me any pain. Generally a little Water helps it go away.

I'm five months post op as well. I find that when I'm extremely empty is when I grumble a lot! It's so weird!

I'm five months out and my stomach is super rumbly sometimes after eating or drinking. I honestly don't know why it's louder some days than others. I just ignore and so far my coworkers have been too polite to say anything if they've noticed.

I too have a grouch pouch. I haven't been able to figure out what causes the rumble gut.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
