I'm surprised so many people stay the night in the hospital. I had my surgery at 9:30 am and was discharged to go home at 2:45pm.

That's actually really surprising to me because i couldn't drink anything the first day until I had my upper GI the next morning to recheck for a leak and to make sure there wasn't swelling that restricted liquids from passing through. I also had to be able to urinate and pass gas to leave. I would have felt very uncomfortable with the decision of the hospital to discharge me several hours after surgery.

Congrats to all! My surgery is February 16th :D

Well, after 4 days I am finally home and recooping. Surgery was a success, just really sore. Thank you for thoughts and prayers

Glad you made it home safe and surgery went well. ????

I had my surgery on the 8th and was finally released to come home the 11th. I am experiencing a lot of pain. Trying to get through it, and doing well. Will find out Tuesday how much I've lost.

No discomfort, that ended a few days ago.

I'm on purée stage two. So far I've made seafood bisque and pizza Soup (it was incredible) and eat about 2/3 of a cup. I also tried Wendy's chili, but wasn't a fan. My favorite was puréed Campbell's chicken enchilada soup.

It's pretty easy for me to get 64oz of liquids a day. I've been at 30-45g of protein from shakes and then add onto that whatever I get from Soups.
