Hello I just went to my first appointment to the bariatric clinic and start my 6 month diet process for insurance requirement tomorrow ..

With hopes to no complications in the process but i am willing to learn or hope to find people that are also just starting and maybe looking to chats about up coming events with the process ...I am very excited but feel very scared all at the same time any advice? thanks in advance

All I have left is the EGD and 2nd Nutritionist appt. Hopefully I will get a surgery date soon. My insurance only requires 2 week pre op liquid diet. Kind of nervous as this is a revision from a gastroplasty from back in the early 90s.

***update: started my 2 week pre op liquid protein diet on the 11th. First couple of days are a beast, but it's getting better. Lab work tomorrow then pre op appt Tuesday. Surgery is set for the 25th of May and I learn my surgery time Tuesday. Getting nervous, but it helps reading about Y'all and your journeys. Good luck to everyone with upcoming surgeries, and I'll be praying!

I had my very first consult today and we're debating on which to do! He wants to do an endoscopy to see how bad my esophagus is from acid reflux and that will tell wether I recieve the sleeve or bypass. I have a 3 month diet plan and have to lose 12lbs.

LindaLena I'm the same way but I have 6th nutrition class in June. I'm still unsure and don't know what to do
