Fairlife Milk

  • Popular Post

I wish someone had told me this before my surgery, so I figured I would share it here. For the first 2 weeks I couldn't eat/drink any dairy products and was miserable. Anything dairy burned as soon as I had it and would cause stomach problems. I found Fairlife ultra filtered milk and I was able to drink it without any problems. Even better, It has 13g of Protein per cup ( more than some protien shakes), added Calcium, and lactose free. If you are having problems with dairy or want an alternative protein source try Fairlife.

Did she say why the Calcium in the milk doesn't count? Calcium is calcium regardless of the source.

What about calcium citrate chewables? Those are easy to take. I tolerate them well and there are all sorts out there in the market to choose from.

Yeah sounds puzzling to me. Studies show we actually absorb more Calcium from food sources than supplements anyhow.

Love fair life. Not loving the $5 a bottle price though. Thanks Coke a cola!

Love Fairlife! It's not just lactose free, but they also filter out much of the sugar as well, making it a relatively low carb milk. After surgery, fairlife was the ONLY thing I could tolerate without vomiting for nearly a month (without it, I would've been stuck in the hospital). I loved that I could use diet hot cocoa mix for mornings, and then mix sugar free strawberry syrup with it when I wanted dessert. It's expensive, but I could always find them on sale for BOGO or 1-2 dollars off when I looked around. Walmart/Target and discount chains also carry them here in Florida, and Publix has promotions often.

Thanks @@BarrySue I am also in Florida and found it at Publix. Will have to keep my eyes peeled for sales and check Target out :)
