What medication does your doctor have you on? I am just curious, because I was taking Zantac and it wasn't working... switched to generic Prilosec (Omeprazole) 2x daily and it worked perfectly for me. I only take it once daily now.

I take 20mg of Prilosec once a day with the occasional Zantac to help with breakthrough heartburn.

Pantoprazole 40mg twice a day plus ranitidine 150mg twice a day! Plus I eat tums thru out the day.

Wow. When I went to twice a day with the Omeprazole it totally eliminated that rumbly burpy hunger feeling. By month 6 I dropped to taking it once a day. Hopefully your stomach will adjust to making less acid.

I hope you find something that works... it seems a wise move to see a specialist at this point!

I was taking Omeprazole prior to surgery because of other gastro-intestinal issues. Now that I am two years out, I still keep some (40 mg) on hand, but only take it as needed. Sometimes during the night I will wake up with a little reflux because Miss Tummy is empty. Omeprazole is adequate for my situation.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
