February 2016 sleevers?

Recommended Posts

Yea I got a canker sore also on the inside of my upper lip and figured it was from the tubes. I started puréed foods Sunday and let me tell you...it was the best ever lol. So glad to be off Clear Liquids. Now I'm looking forward to soft foods.

Hey there! I was admitted back to the hospital. The Friday after my surgery on the 2nd, I came down with a really bad cold that turned into feverish chills on Friday. They have continued until last now. My husband drove me to the ER yesterday. My white blood cell count is very high and I'm showing signs of and infection somewhere. they'll be doing a endoscopy or something along those lines tomorrow morning. They're thinking maybe there was a small leak that healed itself but that has left fluids in my abdomen. I should know more today. I'm not worried, but I'm freaking out for my kids and my mom! My parents leave for South Africa on Saturday. I will keep you in the loop.

Good for you!!! That's awesome!!

I was sleeved on Feb 11th and I'm down almost 60 lbs and I'm down to a size 14 (when I started in Feb I was a size 22). I've gotten off 4 medications and I can actually walk up and down stairs without my knees hurting or being out of breath. I get up early every morning to walk with my husband and our dog. What an amazing difference my life is now.

I just keep remembering what my doctor told me: If you don't change your habits and get more active, you won't lose the weight like you plan to.

I was sleeved on February 17, and I'm down 65 pounds from my highest weight. I'm off of two medications and I move around much more easily. So happy that I had surgery. I feel so much better.

I started at a very high weight, I'm off of all blood pressure Meds, soon to go off last diabetic Med., and all other Meds for nerve damage they have me on a third of the dose. I have been diligent about the Protein first and have eaten very little starch products. I m still working to get the Water intake up. When I do drink water it's usually electrolyte water because my potassium drops to low quickly. Other than that I'm way more active than I have been in a long time.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
