February 2016 sleevers?

Recommended Posts

Same here. Granted I've just hit the 200's since 2011. I feel exactly the same. I'm so glad I've scheduled and I'm so glad it's about to happen. I'm prepared. I'm equipped with the right tools and support system for success. This week needs to hurry up!!!!

Fun fact: this is my last Sunday with this much actual food in me for a long time. :) I'm 100% liquids tomorrow - and next Sunday I have to be on Clear Liquids all day before my surgery!

Same here, I didn't break the 200's until 2011 or 2012. You only have to do clear the day before?? You are lucky, I was put on two week liquid pre op diet with the last three days before surgery clear liquids only. Let's get this done, one week to go!!!

Well I just got my phone call this morning. They submitted everything to my insurance company. They said it will take a bout a week for them to approve it. Next step is the 2 week pre op diet and a meeting with the anesthesiologist.. She said my date will be Feb 16th if insurance approves it quickly or Feb 29th if it takes longer for the approval. Im really excited and nervous of course but after 7 months of jumping through hoops I'm ready!!

Hope the best for everyone! I really like this site, being able to communicate with real people with my same issues.. It really helps!

Have any of the Feb 16th sleevers gotten your pre-op diet? I got mine last week it is pretty doable; low carb (30-45 per day) then nothing after 10pm on the 15th.

Oh how I wish mine was that simple one week all liquids. Tea, coffee, chicken broth and Protein Shakes it will be challenging but doable I start Feb. 9th.

I have surgery on the 2nd and my pre-op is low carb (less that 50 a day) and low fat too, I don't have to do a period of liquids (except the day before surgery)

My surgery is Feb. 15th. I start my pre op diet 02-01. I am excited, nervous, and scared. My main concern is the pre op diet. It's liquids and vegetables.

Yep! Clear fluids on Sunday. He said to start Prilosec otc today for a week and then continue two weeks post op. He also said to take 1oz milk of magnesia at 4pm the day before. And I think that's it. No Advil etc.

By this time next week I'll be sleeved!!!!!!!!!!!

Started my pre-op diet today! For two weeks each day I get 4 Bariatric Advantage Protein shakes, two Protein Bars, clear liquid and a banana. Two days before my surgery I can't have the banana or bars. One day almost down, it's going to be a long two weeks but totally worth it!

I feel your pain! I started today too. That's a sweet young man to support you like that and he's right "it's going to be alright." But at times it's not going to be easy. We have to keep our eyes on the prize! Hang in there...I'll be giving myself this pep talk tomorrow.

I found out today that I'm on the books for February 29, 2016. I'm so excited. My nervous thoughts haven't surfaced yet. Hopefully, they won't.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
