I was laying in bed today, (it's my day off) I was reading some posts and came across one that motivated me enough to get me out of bed at 7 and go do a 40 min workout. I was going to do the workout anyways but I was putting it off until later. Today is my double workout day...God help me. I've decided that I need to change things up for myself. I have already gotten in my 3 days of workouts that I require myself to do and still have 3 days left. I do believe I'll get in 5 days atleast this week. It's been a long time since I've done 5 days straight. I love to workout, I just let my life get in the way. Well not anymore. I know that if I want to reach my goal weight by my 41st birthday in July I need to get moving. My body is screaming at me for using muscles I haven't used in years, but I don't care. If I can move I'm moving this body. No amount of arthritis is stopping me now. Nor is my weight for that matter. This is my year. I normally don't think about myself so much as I do everyone else, but when I turned 40 I decided all that was gonna change. Let's talk about me!

Congratulations on making exercise a priority.

I just want to caution you to take it slow and easy, especially if you haven't been exercising for a while.

Do you have a trainer?

Don't forget to schedule rest days and/mix up your exercise.

Having your muscles "screaming at you" doesn't sound like a very healthy thing.

Plus, an injury can really wet you back.

Best of luck.

@@lorri716 Your comment "It's about me." struck a cord and your attitude is fantastic. Your right! Your an amazing woman of 40 who can do anything she sets her mind to. We all are! I am a Texas Aggie (not too many jokes please... ;) ) And this phrase was done by the students at our recent game. I just thought the image really applied to all of us in the WLS community. We are in control of our own destiny!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
