The Stomach Flu with no stomach?

Recommended Posts

Being as I have three little kids and we do have the pukes pass thru our house at least once a year, how does that work when you only have a pouch and not a stomach?

Can I get a free pass on the stomach virus forever??

Great question because it would be awful dry heaving for 24+ hours (based on the little bit of food we have in our bellies).

No pass on stomach flu. If you are beyond the "Weight Loss" phase and into maintenance, there might be a single bright spot. You may lose 5 to 10 additional pounds at the end and if you try hard, you might add this to your total weight loss.

i would like to know this too, i have vomited a few times from eating wrong thing or my stomach not liking something and i tell you it's 10 times better than pre op - no yuky stomach acid, just saliva and the actual food a bit munched up.

So I am sure with 3 young kids also it's only a matter of time until i get ill but i won't be as scared of vomiting as i'd take dry wrenching and a bit of vomit over disgusting smelling and tasting high volume stuff per op any day!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
