I'm in Nashville too, Vandy, just starting month 2 of ins required 3 mo dr supervised weight loss program. Going with Dr Williams. Very confident in the whole team and their life-long care program. It means a lot to me that they just don't take the money and run. I've researched and googled seriously for the past year. In the patients with a less than desirable outcome, it seems like they didn't have a support group/groups, or thorough post surgery care and follow ups. Hopefully I'll be taking the plunge in February or March... Find myself attending quite a few "food funerals"... But I'm learning to count protein!! Started taking a great organic liquid Vitamin and mineral supplement. Please let us know how your surgery went!! ❤️

Surgery went great. Was extremely tired and drowsy yesterday. sleep most of the day and most of the morning. Very sore at the big incision. Hurts to move up and down. I am not really hungry. When I do it i feel nauseous. Hoping it will pass soon. Thanks for all of the prayers!

update day 3 (i am not counting the day of surgery)

day 1 slept a lot I was in a lot of pain due to the big incision. hard to move up and down. i did not walk that first day at all I just wanted sleep.

day 2 i just wanted to drink Water and eat Jello the Protein was not my friend. still very sore. had trouble sleeping last nigh i was very shaky and I think it was due to lack of Protein.< /p>

Day 3 (which is today) woke up took pain meds and it and I have drank about 4 oz of protein this morning and feel so much better. Doesn't taste the best but I do feel better. I am going to take a nap then try to go for a mile walk. Walking really does help! Gas has not been that bad thank goodness! pills have not been hard to take. This might be TMI but I started the day after surgery and it has been one of the worst TOM. It is very heavy. hope this helps everyone.

things i have noticed: I am not hungry at all, smells weird me out and i don't like to be around others while they eat even though I am not hungry.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
