Surgery Nov 9th

Yessss! My surgery is Nov. 9th in a little more than 2 weeks also, Nov. 9th is my sons birthday . But due to payroll i chose that date. The surgeons office told me since i have a low bmi i only need to do Clear Liquids 10 days but i am choosing to do the 14 days. Wish me luck !

Hey guys I'm in Texas and scheduled for November 9th. I also have a low BMI. I don't go back to the doctor until 11/2 so if they put me on a preop diet it will only be a week. I'm so excited to meet people that are going through the same at the same time!

I am here in Charlotte, my surgeon is dr. Vollianger ( southeast bariatrics) with novant health. What time is your surgery? Mine is at 10 am?

I don't have a time yet.I'll get that when I meet with surgeon on the 29th! I start my preop 14 day liquid diet on Monday. I'm also having endoscopy on Monday morning (10/26) at CMC-Mercy , bone density and nutrition counseling on the 27th. THIS IS GETTING REAL really fast!!! I just got the call that I was approved for surgery and giving me a surgery date on Friday (10/23) morning!!!!

I'm in MD and my surgery is also Nov 9th at 8:00 a.m. I've been reading some of the pre-op comments and it seems that a lot of people are on a liquid diet pre-op. I'm on a 1,000 calorie diet pre-op....I'm wondering, why the difference in protocol?

I'm having my surgery on Nov. 9th as well I'm in Jersey. Good luck to you. I'm really nervous about starting my preop. diet Monday. I have to drink 2- 3 shakes and one small meal.

My surgery is also on the 9th, i also drink 2-3 Protein Drinks and was told to have a cup of homemade chicken broth (which i am cooking now for the entire week) or cream of chicken or mushroom. We both start tomorrow

I got a letter in the mail yesterday telling me to do 3-4 Protein Shakes and 1 meal (meat&veggie) a day until the day before. Clear liquids the day before. Still nervous...my date is 11/9.
