Mine has been a big help. I see her every time I go in for a follow-up, which has been every three months and this last time six months. It is encouraging to know that I am doing well, and we always tweak a little something with my diet plan.

Has been very helpful. I also see mine at post-op appts. I can email her anytime if I have a question. Good to have a partner in this with an education in nutrition, not just everything I read here.

I feel like I knew more then mine, our first meeting was me explaining to her my plan of action for going through preop and her saying oh yeah those are good ideas. Then she has left the doctors practice then the new one didn't show up for my post op appointment with her. I'm suppose to go see the new one again next week so we will see how that goes.

My doctor is big on "evidence based practices" and recently changed up his requirements for his patients because of research that points to bariatric patients who meet with the dietitian/nutritionist for a period of time (he could have said a year, I don't remember) are more successful in the long run than those who don't. I love my nut. :)

I haven't seen mine since the month before surgery and I'm ok. I'm a researcher though so anything I don't know I find out!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
