Water Bottle Recommendations

Recommended Posts

Any recommendations on Water bottles for after surgery? I currently enjoy the ones with straws, but I've heard that's a bad idea after surgery.

I have several but my favorite two are the Rubbermaid shaker bottle for making shakes on the go and the Thermos Intak 24 Ounce Hydration Bottle with Meter.

I love the hydro flask. I am a couple days post op and it is great to keep my drink cold as it takes so long to drink. :)

They come in different sizes, colors and you can choose your top based on your needs. It will hold ice over night. :)

I have one motivational bottle that I bought from motivationalbottle.com and I love it so much that I made myself a second one :) I bought an infuser bottle (I love them for infusing with fruits, saves me from the boredom of 5 bottles of plain Water every day) from Walmart for $5.99, used my colored sharpies and some clear acrylic coating. I have lots of water bottles but those two are my favorites because they mark the times on the back, so that I know if I'm behind on my water intake!

I don't know if they are allowed after surgery. But for many years I have used the push pull spouts to drink my Water.

I also like the Rubbermaid ones. I am still pre-surgery but bought everything I was told to get used to it beforehand per my plan. I have a 20 oz one for measuring Water for the day and smaller ones for shakes. I prefer the plastic shaker balls though. Also, I like the JAXX from GNC. The shorter ones.

Yeti cups are some of the best money I've ever spent.

I finally gave them a try and wished I'd done so sooner.

I second the hydroflask suggestion. Keeps Water ice cold for a very long time. I got the standard mouth, and the sports top. It's easier to sip than from just an open mouth.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
