Liquid diet

My surgery date is Oct 13th & I thought I was gonna need to do the liquid diet the week before but I talked to my nutritionist yesterday and she told me only some surgeons require that but mine doesnt.. only the day before. Can someone give me some advice on what would be good to eat please. I want the process to be as smooth as possible. Thanks in advance!

I'm also from Texas, I'm getting a revision Lap Band to Sleeve on Oct 16. My pre op diet is 2 shakes 1 meal and liquids only on day before surgery. Not bad at all ????

what area of Texas are you from if you dont mind me asking? I'm getting sleeved on the 13th in Mcallen Tx. My Dr only requested 1 day before to eat light. 1 boiled egg and toast with no butter for Breakfast , for lunch and dinner only Clear Liquids and at 2pm I have to start drinking the bottle of magnesium citrate to clear my intestines (not so excited about that lol)

I am scheduled for November 4th.

Your pre-op diet is what I am doing, but for a full two weeks.

It is so crazy how different they all are. I am just hoping to get used to smaller portions.

@@sleevemylife I am in San Antonio TX Low BMI - lapband did not work for me so I am looking forward to stop all the chronic complications I have put myself through by revising to the sleeve.

I like the low sodium chicken broth and today I found a beef broth that has roasted garlic and onion taste. It is a Safeway brand, but needed something different since Ive been on chicken broth for a week now.

ahh man! Yeah I've seen so many people from different states on social media but never any close to me. Wish I had someone that's been through all this for support and help but this will do for now

Thank you for the input! I bought Unjury the other day.

My MD also doesn't require a long liquid pre op diet. However, he does offer suggestions for it if you want to do it. I'm doing 3 protein shakes a day with one small dinner (no carbs as sides).
