Any Oct 6 Sleevers out there?

I am scheduled to have my sleeve done on October 6th (started the process on March 1st, 2015.) I'd love to have a "surgery buddy" who is having the procedure the same day or very close to the date. Anyone interested?

Time for updates:

Ran a 5K and I felt awesome getting stronger everyday

I did a 5K today too! My first ever. I walked though. But finished it and in much better time than I thought. Never could have done that before!!

Way to go. I loved it. So much good energy and active people. Can't wait for another one.

I'm back!!!

Hi,

Where are you located ? I'm calling to make my appt to see a surgeon & wondering if you can enlighten me how long does total process take from 1st appt until surgery? Thanks :)

@@reach.my.dream

it really depends on your insurance and surgeon. I had my first appointment in May and then started the 90 day supervised diet that my insurance required. Once that was over and I had all my other things checked off (tests, psych visit, classes, primary care recommendation) and was submitted to insurance in Sept, and then had surgery Oct 5. Good luck! (I am in Colorado)

Amanda my god it seemed like forever. Welcome home.

Feeling fabulous! Loving life and my new found energy. Had a great first WLS Thanksgiving. Surprisingly I was satisfied with what I ate. Had no desire for things I knew I couldn't have. Hope everyone had a great one!

@@Marcia Sending prayers for a great recovery. Hang in there each day gets easier.

Mommamy you look fabulous. So happy for you. My thanksgiving started with a 5K then off to turkey dinner. Small plate of turkey didn't take the bad stuff.

This is a shout out to Marcia. How are you? Please checkin with us.

Hi Everyone!

I'm back from my Disney World vacation and I feel like I went 10 rounds in a boxing ring and lost.(Lol) I walked about 8 miles x 7 days with lots of standing in line for rides and attractions and lost 2.6 pounds. Every muscle in by body aches and my heels are painful to walk on.

One thing I'm sure of, without this surgery and my 20+ pound loss, I would have been miserable.

Now the countdown to Christmas break is on! Three more weeks :)
