3.24lbs or 35 servings which is 8.5 days with current diet. I know i will be needing it after surgery so extra is a good idea

I have surgery on the 29th too, but I only have a 3 day diet and it is 2 shakes and 1 small healthy meal (with 2 Protein snacks). I definitely lucked out, apparently.

That's not too bad then. 1g of sugar you say? Hmmm, may have to look into buying some.

Well done for getting your room prepared, I've still to do mine.

Sept 29th group, I'm afraid I will not be joining you for surgery on the 29th after all :( In case you did not see my post, I'm putting it here below, and wishing all you wonderful people, a smooth, painfree, complication free experience on the 29th! Go forth and loose!!!

Not Happening After all …

So I was scheduled to have my Lapband Removal/Gastric Sleeve/ Gallbladder removal surgery on Sept 29th, but yesterday during the pre-op visit, it came to light that my surgeon, Dr. Fox, will be leaving for a month long vacation 2 days after my surgery! Given that he’s doing so much, he thought it unfair to leave and not be here should by chance I have any kind of complication. My logical side concurs, but I was so close to getting this done!!! I guess it was not meant to be….

So now I’ve been pushed back to November 2nd. I guess I was more prepared for this than I gave myself credit for, because I feel disappointed, empty, and a little purposeless…much like a deflated balloon. Another 6 weeks to wait!!! *Sigh*. It was like hurry up and then brick wall. I’d made all these arrangements and had visions of a much smaller me on Thanksgiving…

Brooding,

Ellie

@@clairemayx same here. Mine is on the 29th and I've been sick since last Monday. My Doctor said to still come in for surgery and see how I'm doing then. If it's to bad then we would have to reschedule.

It is amazing how many different requirements there are for each surgeon and the area. I have surgery scheduled for oct 19. I had to lose 12 lbs before I could get it scheduled. I do not have to do any preop diet or cleansing anything. at 6pm the night before surgery I cant eat anymore. then the first two days at home I have to drink clear broth or sugar free Popsicles-sugarfree Jello. 3 day if no issues then puddings 1/4 cup at a time and cream of wheat soft mushy stuff. for two weeks. so yes very interesting. I hear all these people drinking Protein Shakes and none of that is listed in any of my phases of what to eat after the surgery. the third phase does include lots of Protein as in meat-eggs-tuna and nothing dried out.but then again who knows what I will be able to tolerate. those Protein shakes may be looking good!!

thanks for sharing!!!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
