Looking for those who had sleeve in August 2015

Recommended Posts

Looks like fb has 2 August groups- one is a closed group with just over 100 members and one must be yours- with 1 member and graphic if a happy stomach?

STUPID QUESTION - if you join a "CLOSED" Facebook group - does it show up on your facebook page that you are a member?

Well.... now see I thought I had done a pretty thorough search. I guess there's no need for two but I'm not sure how to get in a closed group. Can you tell me what it's called?

August 2015 sleevers is how it is listed and says it is a closed group with 129 members.

I like closed or private ( really like private - since no one knows I did this lol)!

Closed groups show up on fb if you do a search for them. You can not see what is posted on the page, BUT can see who are members. But again you need to know about the page to find it.

You know i have been viewing this site for months, (sleeved August 11) and the Overwhelming consensus was that everyone was telling everyone about their surgery. About 5 out of the thousand people I viewed was doing it. I finally see more than one person in a row saying they are not telling anyone.

I am in the minority as well. I am not and have not told anyone. Just my significant other, not even my kids who are living with us know.

I just think it is a private journey, my private journey my. People at work think i am losing weight and complement me everyday but just think i am really working out hard and cutting back on food. And in reality they are right. I work out and walk and run 5 days a week and i am devoted to change. That is all anyone needs to know.

Just my private "two cents". Dont be made at me folks, just what I been feeling for 8 months now...

I went on Facebook but I am clueless as to how to make it a priv as te group or closed. I went to privacy and it says friends only but im not sure how to do anything else. I suppose we should just beg to get in the other one and I can delete mine. What do you think?

Im an August sleever, not hiding it though I totally respect and understand every ones journey. To tell you the truth I wish I hadn't blabbed to every one, but too late. I am not a face booker member, so this is all I have for support, guidance and kinship.

Okay, I found the August 2015 sleevers. Looks like there are lots of people there. I searched under groups and was able to find two or three of them for August 3015 so I will delete mine. I also enjoy this site very much so I'll be between the two now that I figured out how to post. Just dont know how to reply to one persons post specifically.

Ladies, try some bone broth! The collagen and Protein truly helps to heal our sleeves. Is soothing and full of nutrients.

Get any bones that you like. I get bone marrow kind of bones. Let them sit of 30 minutes with a good sola of apple cider vinegar. That helps the bones to give you all the minerals. Then in a slow cooker, onions, garlic, peppers and any other non starchy veggie you like in stocks. Cover with Water. Set in low overnight. I love to have a fresh cup in the morning as breakfast!

Later, I put it in the fridge to cool the fat and skim it. Then is ready to enjoy in between meals. As a gravy to dip your meat while eating. As a sauce to cook veggies or meat and a great snack before bed!

Hello. I am new to this site. I had my surgery on August 7. Will hit 8 weeks tomorrow.

I was also sleeved on 8.7.15. Today I'm down 42 pounds from my highest pre-surgery weight. I'm pretty pleased.

I like the idea of a private FB page, but 100 members seems like a lot. I think this site is s bit confusing when trying to reference or send a message to another member.

I had my surgery on 8/14. I haven't lost any weight in over 2 weeks. I've been eating like I should. I'm getting really nervous.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
