So my surgery is next Friday September 4th and my pre-op diet is going well. Anyway, I woke up this morning having had a horrific nightmare! I had a dream that I ate two butter tarts post surgery and was devastated and afraid of something going wrong! Wow I must really be worried subconsciously!! Has anyone had such a pre-surgery worry?

Lol - I didn't have anything like this pre-op, but I'm 5 days out now, and last night I had a similar dream. I was out at a football party with a large food buffet, and I was so caught up in the party and football game that I just reached out and grabbed a big ole beef burrito. Made it halfway through the it before I realized what I was doing and freaked out, which woke me up. Whew! :)

I think those sorts of anxiety dreams are normal for us facing a surgery and lifestyle changes as large as we're facing.

after my surgery for almost a week, I had food-binging dreams. In the back of my mind, I knew I was screwing up my surgery, but I couldn't stop eating. After about a week, the dreams ended.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
