My surgery was 7/20, and I lost weight steadily for 3 weeks and then it stopped - 22 pounds. Tomorrow is my one month post and I'm starting to feel very frustrated. I know I'm not getting my Protein in as I'm having a very hard time with nausea after 3 or 4 bites of food. My physical activity is very limited because it's over 100 degress outside and my husband won't buy any indoor equipment. I'm becoming very depressed. Even without all the protein, you'd think someone only eating 400-500 calories a day would lose weight.

My surgery was 7/22... Similar situation.... Heat is stifling outside, but 'I' am the one who doesn't want indoor equipment... :)

If you are close to a mall - how about walking in the mall? Or, I have several walk aerobic DVDs by Leslie Sansone. All the best to you!

I was sleeved on June 9th. A month later, I stalled for almost two weeks. It's just what happens as our bodies adjust to the new reality. Stick with the program and know that it will pass. You will lose more weight, just hang in there.

It's the 3 week stall that everyone goes through. There is absolutely nothing you can do about it. Stay hydrated, eat your protien and let it pass. This won't be your last stall, either, but a stall this early out is a physiological thing that happens to everyone after large losses the first weeks. Stalls later out are probably more behaviors causing them.

So at this time, just keep doing what you're doing and it will pass.

I was sleeved on 7/21 and had a stall at week 3. Things started budging again this weekend. I'm not sure if it was because I was tracking my food more or because I was more active, or perhaps my body had adjusted enough to let the scale move downward. I just focused on the fact that I was eating better and being more active.

I was sleeved also on July 20th. I experienced a stall from week 2-4. So 2 weeks stall. I even gained 2 pounds. In the past couple days I have lost the weight gained and lost another 1.5 pounds. It was a little frustrating but I knew it could happen.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
