  7. I havent seen the surgeon since surgery. It common practice these days. Besides the PA or Nut knows more about you than the surgeon.
  8. NO LAP BAND! Had one for 10 years. Nothing but dehydration, vomiting every day all day, reflux, aspiration while sleeping. Had the sleeve done July 9. Its great. Im a slow loser but I dont care. I can eat anything with no nausa or throwing up. The lapband came out and they didnt know the long terms affects. Read the revision boards on here
  9. Im very similar. I had the band for 10 years, maintained my weightloss through vomiting every day all day. Unfilled for 2 years, gained 35 pounds. Have had the sleeve since July 9. Only down 13 pounds, 10 of which was the first 2 weeks. I go to the gym alot, mostly cardio, starting with some boot camp now. My nut says 80-100grms Protein and 50-80 carb. I never go over 50 unless I did alot at the gym. She says dont worry about calories. I do use my fitness pal and stay around 1000. I think my first couple months I was actually grazing and eating more carbs. I have no problems eating anything, even raw vegetables. There is no way in hell I could eat 1/4 cup and be satisfied. with exercising you have to consume more food otherwise your body goes into starvation mode. Now after my last appt I use mfp religiously and have lost 2 pounds. Im a very slow loser and dont have that much to lose to get to my original band weight. I have 25 pounds to lose and I dont care if it takes me 6 months. If I lose a pound a week its better than a 35 pound weight gain. Your diet I think looks like you arent eating enough carbs and calories for 4 days in the gym. I know its hard to believe it.
  10. In the hospital your iv is running fluids in you. You are probably just retaining the fluids.

  12. I love my Protein shakes. I use Inspire and have probably 8 different flavors. Im thinking for lunches some walnuts, almonds, things like that but I know its not nearly as much protein than tuna or chicken
  13. band to sleeve revision here. I wouldnt call myself a vegetarian by no means. A good Ribeye is heaven on a plate. I know our diet is mostly Protein and some veggie for the most part. Does anyone here use nuts or seeds as your protein vs having a piece of chicken or meat? I want to follow a paleo/primal diet but is all the veggies too high in carbs for us and too low in protein if Im eating so many veggies. I read Dr Weiner A Pound of Cure which for his wls patients he is more plant based and so is Jonathan Bailor, The Calorie Myth. More into the superfoods, etc but no counting calories. Anyone follow this type of diet?
  14. Congrats to you! BCBS FEP rocks!
