Ok, feeling good, losing weight and tried on some size 14 pants at the mall and they fit! Problem is, I could probably fit into 12 or even 10 but all my weight is in my stomach! I am walking 15k on my fitbit (2-3 miles of it are actually "excercise") but wondering what excercise would help tone my middle????

Sit ups maybe? I'm not sure. I've read that you can't target that kind of thing but I've also read that you can. Hopefully someone with more knowledge will answer but sit ups are my first guess.

@@lucky1gg33 @@LessOfMe0503 - I agree with LessOfMe (sit-ups?) maybe crunches??? same concept I know. the other thing may be lying on the floor and touching right knee to left elbow and vice-versa...

You can't target weight loss. You could do 1000 crunches a day and all you'll end up with is a nice six pack UNDER a layer of fat. The weight's going to come off where it wants to come off. The body is very stubborn that way. Toning through strength training only visibly helps when you have a very low body fat percentage.

Trust me. I know a LOT about this. I have ridiculous amounts of weight on my hips and thighs. I run or bike 4-6 days a week and do lower body strength training 3 times a week. All my fat is still coming off places like my face, ribs, arms, back.....

I know... but was thinking maybe to help encourage or tone. I figure I will ultimately have some kind of cosmetic surgery but for right now my stomach is like the bank of fatness. If it were gold, I'd be rich!!

Buy some shape wear, something high waist or a firm control top.

http://www.hanes.com/onehanesplace/womens-shapewear/shapewear-brands/maidenform-shapers/flexees-shapewear-m1866

This works but it will creep up. If you put it on and put like a pair of jeans on, the jeans will keep it down. Even better put a lower body shaper over it.

If you wear that and put something like this over it

http://www.hanes.com/onehanesplace/womens-shapewear/shapewear-brands/maidenform-shapers/flexees-thigh-slimmer-m2355

You will be tucked and tight. It will help train your muscles in without being like a dangerous waist trainer and it will keep pressure there and stimulate the circulation. You could put something like sweet sweat on under it.

The best solution will be to keep losing but this will help you appear flatter.

I have tried a spandex style tank top... but I feel like a sausage and like it maybe makes it more pronunced. Maybe I will take a pic of same outfit with and without it?

I feel the same way(even though I am pre-VSG, surgery is September 1st!!). I have bought several different types of Spanx tops(both brand name and generic) and they ALWAYS ride/roll up my large stomach. I HATE the fact that I have a a/small b cup size but my stomach looks like I'm 8 months pregnant;my stomach should NOT be so much larger than my chest????

The ones I liked are very firm. If you have an Avenue store near you, you can try them on there

Since you wear your own bra, it flattens eveything and pushed your breasts up and out.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
