It's really nice losing weight. I just love it. But I hate shopping!

Is anyone else tired of buying something new, and having it not fit the next time you want to wear it? I really need to hit up the thrift stores. I am really sick of shopping, even if I did get a good deal on it. I buy it because I like it, but then it's too big already.

Yeah, that has been happening to me too. I keep on giving clothes away. I have been taking hand me downs from friends, like doing a clothing exchange type of thing. I have also been digging into the box of clothes that fit me years ago in a short time I lost weight and I thought would never fit me again! And they fit now and even getting loose!!!

I am the same way. I hardly ever get rid of anything. I have a huge attic. I have clothes I am wearing from 20 years ago before I had my kids. Nothing out of style, just t shirts and I love flannel shirts.

They are getting too big too.

What's worse is when your not quite 11 year old wears bigger undies than you do!!

DH folded the laundry for me a couple of weeks ago, and had put the larger (DS's) undies in my drawers thinking they were mine, and given DS my undies thinking they were his! The following morning DS comes to me to complain that his undies are too small. Guess who's undies he was wearing! Poor little bugger was so freaked out that he was wearing Mum's undies! I haven't laughed that hard in ages.

OMG Chickie!!!! I hope he has not been scarred for life, poor baby! :D

OMG, poor poor boy....rotfl......funniest thing I ahve heard lately!

I only buy sale items now and shop mostly at a resale shop. I take my clothes there and sell them. SO I get money to buy new clothese there. It is a really nice shop too, mostly "high" name brand at lower prices! I can not wait to know what size I really am going to be so I can buy some business suits. I have not worn one in about a year to work, and it is killing me! lol...

Update on my progress in "Passing for Thin"

I've been trying to weigh a little less often -- like maybe 2-3 times a week instead of every day. This has been easier to do since I've been recuperating at my parents' house and am not home in my routine, which involves the morning weigh in. Anyway, I'd decided to maintain my weight while I was home. Losing is always exciting, but I need to try to maintain for several reasons, including being strong enough to jump straight into another surgery in a month. Anyway, I've been eating bandster quantities and making many good choices, but eating many more treats or restaurant meals than I normally would. I woke up this morning freaking out that I might have gained a couple of pounds. I looked in the mirror and my chest didn't seem as bony, my legs seemed a little heavier. So I went to weigh and low and behold, I was down 1/2 lb.

All this goes to show is that I'm still frustrated with my inability to see what's in the mirror. I guess that will come with time, once my body quits changing.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
