Hi Everyone,

I am new to the forum and have been enjoying reading post about a whole variety of topics! I am currently on day 13 post op sleeve and have lost about 17 pounds so far. My recovery has been pretty easy so far (I think); I've not had any pain, and aside from the desire to chew, I haven't felt deprived. The incisions pull a bit but no biggie and they removed my drain before I left the hospital so I never really had to deal with that. All in all, I'm feeling good and glad I went through with the surgery. Thanks to all of you who have answered questions I didn't even know I had yet!

Glad things have been so smooth for you so far. Stick to your nutrition plan and move through the food stages at the correct pace. Get all your Water. Get all your Protein. And you will be well on your way to a successful outcome! Make sure not to push yourself too hard or too fast and to listen to your body.

Hi Everyone, feeling good - glad I went through surgery.

@@Bean80128

hi back at ya

your above statement wraps it all up with a pretty red ribbon

welcome welcome :)

congrats on your first post

13 days PO and you are still around to talk about "it"

that's a NSV of its own ((non sleeve victory)

glad to hear you haven't had any major problems

(chewing issue will improve)

the sleeve is a wonderful "assistant" to loosing your weight :)

YOU have a lot to learn

memorize and use, follow allll the rules

very important

work with the sleeve and it will work with/for you :)

glad you have been reading and learning from the board

very helpful/important

you "probably" will have your share of ups and down, problems with this or that, dreaded stalls

Get over it

Deal with it :D

follow ALL the rules

you will continue to be a success!!!

remember all people/situations are different

weight loss periods will differ person to person

17 lbs down!!!

that is wonderful

never compare your loss with others (people have been shot for less :D )

surgeons/NUTS instructions vary too

people wlll give great advice on the boards, thoughts, their experiences

end of the day always ONLY listen to your NUT (nutritionist) :) (or me)

you are on the road to a healthier, happier, longer life :)

keep up the great job ;)

good luck

kathy

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
