1mo post-op New pain in lower belly

Recommended Posts

So I had the gastric sleeve 1 month and 3 days ago. All of my pain and soreness was gone a week and a half ago but two days ago I started having pains on my left bottom side of my belly, almost right above or near my pelvis under my belly. I feel it when I get up from sitting at work, or when I stretch my back. Not sure what this could be. I figured it might be soreness from internal stitches, but does it makes sense to get pain after I've been painless for over a week? And I also feel like the area of the pain is too low to have anything to do with the surgery. Not sure! Any suggestions or thoughts are appreciated.

It was explained to me by the nurse practitioner that it is normal for most most patients she sees. She said we often feel good the first week and then may over do it with bending, moving, etc. I went through something similar to what you've described and it lasted a couple of weeks.

I also went in to see the Dr just to ease my mind. If you are feeling concerned, consider contacting your program. Good luck and speedy recovery.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
