I developed that during week 1. Very painful. I noticed that when I slept on my tummy, I was able to burp some of the gas out.... Not sure if that helps. Keep walking though

My surgery was the day after hours and I'm still working through the gas. Lots of walking and hoping that'll pass soon.

It took me 5 days post op to feel normal again. Walk walk walk.. Thats the only thing that helped me work the gas out of my chest and shoulders.. Hang in there. It gets better.

I was consistently moving too after my surgery. The gas pain was the worse thing!! At 3 weeks I felt so much better, that was when I felt normal again. Give it time, I know it's a terrible feeling but it will be over very soon

Had my surgery on the 21st---I could hardly wait to get home and get a gas x gas strip. I only needed them the 2 days(day and 1/2) home. I guess my body needed a jump start. Walking did help move the pain, but that strip did it for me. Good luck! We are a day apart, I'm much more comfortable once that gas was able to move more freely and out of my body. Now, my gas is the typical gas.

I had surgery on July 20... I'm having a real hard time even drinking anything or broth without the tight chest feeling.. I have to raise my hands to stretch out to get it down.. Anyone else?!?

Hi, I had the worst gas pain ever for about two weeks, but as soon as I started walking around more and eating gasX like candy it stopped. Ice packs and heat helped also. Hang in there, it gets better.

Has your gas pain passed? Mine's gone, and never used a GasX strip. Lots of walking helped. Although the things that I have found to be far worse than gas pain are coughs, sneezes, and hiccups. I don't seem to see talk around these 3, and they are far worse than gas pain IMO.

I was sleeved on the 20th also and mine gas pain was gone about 2 days ago. The remaining pain was from my hiatal hernia repair. My spasms are finally dying out but if I do take top big a swig of Water I have to straighten out for it to go down.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
