Sleeved June10th 2015 and STILL at a stall!

Had surgery on June 10th of this year so I am 5 weeks out as of today. I went in for my one month follow up last week and was the exact same weight as my one week follow up and the doc wasn't concerned one bit...I however was like wth? Now one week later still stalled...this scale isn't budging. Also to add to my frustration I am on a birth control that stopped by periods a few years ago and since one week out of surgery my period as been constant, never letting up...again wth? Is this my body still adjusting after surgery? I have read other peoples stalls and gains but not sure I've seen someone stall for this long. Help a girl out lol

Thanks, nope I'm in nevada :)

I'm also a June 10th baby, and I've had two stalls so far, but I don't sweat it, I think it's my body and mind that still throw itself off from time to time, I don't do anything different, I stick to my plan, carbs at under 100 ( usually under 40) my calories under 500, and my protein at 60-90g, the scale is not a good way to measure progress, there are so many variables even from morning to evening, it is a good tool to use maybe once a month for me, I have lost 85lbs since January, and 43lbs since surgery, I went from 388lbs to 303.5 this last week, but my weight loss is at 2.2 per week right now, I'm unfazed because I choose to look at the bigger picture, went from 58BMI to 44BMI, lost 10 waist sizes, gained at least 4-5lbs of muscle, meeting my goals at the gym, blood pressure, sugar, energy are great, I chose even before all this to use milestones, it is less stress and more reliable, I have 3 new ones already since I will hit 299lbs this month,

1. Get to 250lbs next

2. Buy some new clothes for work

3. Break my PB of 3 sets of arm curls @ 65lbs, by doing 5 sets @ 70-80lbs by December.........

Just use the forward momentum you've gained to keep moving forward

Well that 6lb weight loss didn't last very long, 3 days later I gained back 4 of those pounds. I have an appointment early Sept with my surgeon and I have got to get to the bottom of this. I'm working on 3 months post op and have never continually lost, not even 1lb a week like the doctor hoped for with me. I am beyond discouraged and am starting to feel like I had my first ever surgery for nothing. :/

That's the truth lol

@@Shustar, I'm in AZ as well where did you get your surgery done?

I went to TJ. Great experience! You?

I was done at Scottdale Shea, great team and overall great experience!

Could you possibly be close to your cycle amber? I gain about 3-4 lbs in water weight around my cycle.

Well actually I hadn't had a cycle for a good 3yrs prior to my surgery due to birth control and since surgery it's been horrid. 3 weeks straight then I was good for about 2 weeks and I'm back at it again. :(

If I were a betting person @@AmberWarstler I would put money on it being cycle related and possibly a hormone issue.

I suppose I'll talk to my surgeon first, then if he refers me to my OB I'll go that way...it's frustrating that's forsure. Thank you for your insight.

I was sleeved 8/10 and have been stalled at 10 lbs since 1 week out. Proteins good, carbs good, need more water, but frustrated.

That's just what it is too..Frustrating. not much you can do about it but wait it out.
