Starting 3rd month of medically supervised diet

Recommended Posts

Today marked the end of month 2, I have 4 more months to go until I can try for insurance approval. I had a horrible month due to starting provera, and finally having a period after 11 mo. Damn PCOS. Good news, I did not gain any weight. The first month I lost 10 pounds, and this last month 1 pound lol. Still a loss though!! I have my psychological evaluation next month sometime, and I'm registered for my 3 classes I have to take starting Aug 10. I have to buckle down and get serious about my diet and exercise again, and try quitting smoking. Going to go to a vape starting tomorrow, then lower the nicotine dosage. I just need off cigs. They are terrible!

This is my 2 month of supervised diet , I have 4 months left to go too! I have all my other appointments this month. Hoping it will speed up the process, I feel like I been doing this forever. Maybe we can keep each other encourage along the way. Good luck with quitting cigarettes and this new journey!

@@sandylyn88 my appt went well my Nut was very impressed with how much weight I lost in a month. She said looks like I know how to eat but have to stay consistent with it and to make sure I am exercising . I have to find a way to get my exercise in.

Awesome! And don't be scared paige, in 2 months I've lost 11 pounds lol so it wasn't a drastic change. But if we can dramatically decrease our bmi with lifestyle change and keep it that way, it would Def be better than surgery.

Good news nikki! Where is everyone from?

I will have my 6 mon visit on the 20th. I am just praying all goes well and I can be rid of some of my help problems. I know this is just a tool, but I'm really excited. I have two friends one did the sleeve and one the by pass. Both are doing great, down to their ideal and are off all mess except allergy and thyroid

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
