Hey ladies we wanted to make sure everyone knew about this. Some of us ladies have been discussing it in the Houston Tx. thread. With all the confusion of people missing threads and posts we wanted to come up here in the Lounge and post something about this get togather.

The more people the better! We hope lots can come and enjoy each others company! All is welcome to come and visit even if you can't spend the night!

It's kinda of a spare of the moment thing. We originally was going to meet for the day in Kema but then a few of us started talking about spending the night so here we are still talking about where we want to spend the night and what we want to do while we're togather!

So far I've suggested we be togather for the night in Galveston in a Beach Houses since it's out of season and the rates are discounted.

I did call today and this is what I found out:

We can view the home before reserving if it's empty.

They suggest to smoke on the balcony but is not strictly enforced.

There is a 2 night minimum rental.

Weekend are a bit more expensive than the advertised price at the website mentioned above. The prices on the web site are for weekdays only.

The man said Stewart View is available (as many others are too) this one is going to be around $300.00 after tax for 2 days. If 6 people come that means $50.00 per person. The extra day will give us a very late check out option. Just something to think about.

We'll probably stay long enough to have lunch, leaving probably at least by 3 or 4pm. Would that allow you enough time?

If I go for the day, Mike may come with me... its a 2 1/2 hour drive and we get little time together, so I would bring him for driving company (hehehe). Hell probably go visit friends in Houston while I stay with yall.

But if I dont stay the night then the price of the condo will increase for the rest of you, right?

I will be there Paula do whaty you can and don't worry abot it we will be fie even if it is only 4 of us we will survive but it would be nice to have 8.

Good advice, Ginny, I've been sweating those overnight guest numberss! Well, we still have a few out that haven't answered about if they'll stay overnight or just for the day.

I can swing the $100 if need be, but I'll do whatever the crowd does. I'm easy.

If necessary I can handle the 100.00 too. I don't think Marie should have to try to cancel out now afte all the footwork and putting it on her card. I think we can work something out. We still have a few more people interested in coming too.

Right now I am showing 6 people, Leatha, Marie, Nancy, Ginny, Lisa, and me, and there are still a few considering it. If Paula still stays that is 7. Even with 6 that would be approx. $67.09, not much higher than before. I say we should keep it as it is if that is o.k. with the majority.

I'm getting excited too Ginny. I was going to post the same thing but you beat me to it!

I am riding with Leatha, so as long as she's coming I am too! :banana

Right now, it's Leatha, Betty, Nancy, Ginny, Lisa Green, and me. I'm still waiting to hear back from Paula and Kyleigh. Galveston weather forecast shows "Plenty of sunshine, 66* high, 54* low." Sounds gorgeous! My son wants to know if there will be any "adults" at this beach party. I told him, no!
