Yes! Feels wonderful! Went to Old Navy a couple days ago just to try on things for the fun of it because I could! :)

omg!!!! Success all over that's amazing I can't wait to get my life back and start this journey && actually be healthy and happy!!
Enjoy this journey! It's simply amazing. Is it easy- no but well worth it! I'm down 96lbs since my surgery 3.5 months ago. Best thing I've ever ever done (well minus my husband and kids). The confidence I have now- huge! I have bones in my body that I didn't know existed- well at least not for the past 8 years! Haha. But seriously soak this process in and enjoy the ride! :)
hats awesome thanks so much!!!

Protip: Find a high-end consignment (used) clothing shop and shop out of that as you're losing weight. There are wonderful choices out there that are a small, small fraction of retail. Besides, you won't be wearing some of these clothes for long.

P.S. I bought a St. John suit yesterday for $42. I bet that sucker sold for at least $1200 new. It's still in great condition.

I went shopping for jeans yesterday. I started with a size 16 (2 sizes down from my old size) and worked my way down to a 10 which was still too big. I sat down and cried. I am 56 years old and have not been a 10 since high school. It was a very, very weird feeling to me and I was completely overwhelmed. I actually left the store without buying a thing. So surreal, this new feeling. How does my head not see the amount of weight lost? I mean, I know I have lost weight, but my eyes just don't see how much, I guess.

I also can't wait for that. Right now I am at the stage of realizing that most of my clothes that fit before surgery are too loose and I am now able to fit into some of my old clothes that used to be too tight. I can't wait the first time I can shop in a normal size store.

It's amazing. I went from tight 3x and I'm currently in a large. Some brands I wear a medium. Being able to pick out of normal stores is so amazing to me.

I donated almost all my old clothing! I have to shop at least that the excuse I use! I love it when the choice is between a small and medium!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
